Very excited to announce that Jordan Canning and co-director Jeremy Lalonde have been nominated for a CSA in Best Direction, Variety or Sketch Comedy for their work on Baroness Von Sketch Show season 3!
So excited to be included in the inaugural round of the Prism Prize MVP Project Grant to make a music video for DANCE off of Tim Baker’s upcoming solo album!
This spring kicked off into high gear with no sign of slowing down until winter. After directing two episodes of The Detail (CTV), flew to Winnipeg to do shoot two episodes of Burden of Truth (CBC), and then back to Toronto in August to direct five episodes of Baroness Von Sketch Show (IFC/CBC).
It’s been an amazing (and jam packed) year so far, with lots more exciting news coming down the pipes soon. Stay tuned for updates on Suck It Up and Space Riders: Division Earth Season 2, as well as a couple of new projects too…
The film will be screened in the Beyond program, which showcases bold and daring films from emerging filmmakers working beyond their first features. Suck It Up is one of only five films in the Beyond program, and the only Canadian film in that section.
We are so excited to head to Park City in January to celebrate and screen the film with the whole team!
We are overjoyed to announce that We Were Wolves will be having its World Premiere at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival! Congratulations to the small but mighty dream team involved in this film – it could never have been made without you.
Stay tuned for more screening info!
Last week we completed packaging on Get Set’s first feature, We Were Wolves. Many thanks to the tireless post-production team, especially our editor Jon Eagan. Stay tuned for news about future screenings and updates!
Until then, why not check out Space Riders: Division Earth, the hilarious sci-fi web series we just finished for CTV.ca starring Mark Little and Dan Beirne? It’s the best way to kill an hour around, we promise!
Just a quick update to highlight some exciting award news. Seconds was awarded the Shaw Media Fearless Female Director Award at the NSI Online Short Film Festival this month, and will be featured on the site throughout December for Fearless Female Director Month. So many females, so little fear – I love it! Last week, Seconds was also named one of the Top 12 Canadian Short Films by The Shorts Report, along with eleven other fantastic shorts. So exciting! Finally, I’m also extremely humbled to have been awarded the 2013 Best Short Film Award by the Women’s International Film and Television Showcase. It’s an incredible honour to be in such fine company. A pretty nice way to end the year as we put our heads down and prepare for the long winter ahead…
