Time is [a flat circle/flying/meaningless] but here’s a quick TV update to catch the feed up a little. Last year the big highlights were Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock, which is available Apple TV; the season 2 opener of Pretty Hard Cases now on CBC and Netflix; Astrid and Lilly Save The World, streaming on Syfy and Crave; and Amazon Prime’s The Lake.
This year I was thrilled to recently direct an episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2, as well as two episodes of Family Law season 3. Some exciting news coming down the pipes for the fall that’s currently under wraps, but more on that soon…
Very pleased to announce that our NFB short animation, 4 North A, is kicking off its festival run with a world premiere at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival. After that it will screen at the Ottawa International Animation Film Festival, FIN Fest and the St. John’s International Women’s Film Festival.
Better late than never! Very happy to announce that Aleysa Young and Jordan Canning took home the CSA for Best Direction in a Sketch/Variety show at the Canadian Screen Awards. They accepted the award from the comfort of their own homes watching online in pyjamas, as is custom for 2020.
